Cisco came to Tolleson with a challenge: their careers site didn’t reflect their employee culture, so they weren’t connecting with the people they wanted to connect with. Tolleson rebuilt their site from the ground up, taking a people-first approach that focused on engaging and inspiring potential applicants.
Along with our Cisco clients and a team of developers, we held a multi-day workshop to tackle the unwieldy task of of creating the information architecture and content strategy for the site – a tall order for a company with 70,000 employees across dozens of job categories in 92 countries. I was responsible for the overall content strategy and high-level copy. I worked closely with interactive designers from the information architecture phase through to visual design.
